About MERGAOLIVA

We are a small family business:

We are a small traditional family business. Our parents, as funders, are at the head of the enterprise. We, as the next generation, continue to develop the company. After many years of managing our agricultural labour in the olive groves, we felt the need to make our own Extra Virgin Olive Oil. We try to make a good olive selection in its various ripening stages. Rogorously and with care in the grindings process, we offer excelent EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) with different organoleptic nuances.

Situated in the cradle of the olive tree, the JAEN province, our business honours and continues with our ancestors´ dedication during thousands of years. One of our main purposes is to disseminate the essence of the oil´s cultural heritage, emphasizing the optimal conditions of the olive harvesting and grinding. We considered many names when thinking of how to call our company. Finally, we decided on a combination of the first letters of our parents´ last names (MERcado and GAvilán) followed by that word that defines our land: OLIVA In that way, the name MERGAOLIVA was launched as our EVOO production and marketing brand.
